Our teacher is Mrs Whitaker. Mrs Currie and Mrs Wallace also support us with our work. Mr Harvey covers my PPA by teaching us Science on Friday afternoons.
Year 6 have made a really good start last half term. Nearly all the children completed their homework every week, scoring the correct amount of points, and so enjoyed a treat of our chocolate fountain!
We have also written some fantastic poetry about trees! We went out into our garden and looked closely at the appearance of the tress. Some of us had a go at tree hugging.
Visit to the Mayors Chambers….
Last half term we were invited to the Mayor’s Chambers. We all had a great time asking the Mayor some questions and looking round his chambers. We also sat in the Council room like councilors!! Our visit finished with juice and a biscuit before each receiving a gift!!
Bishop Philip came to visit us as well. He talked to us about his time at Walsingham. The children learnt a lot about pilgrimage.
Our Class Assembly
We have been learning about e safety last half term, we hope you all enjoyed our assembly with our very special super heroes!
The correct PE kit is needed in school, PE will take place on Thursday afternoons. Homework is given at the start of each half term and needs to be completed and handed in every Friday. Spellings will be given out every Monday and need to be learnt for a test on Fridays. Please also don’t forget to read every night and get your Reading Record signed.
Attendance is vital in Year 6. Any learning that is missed is sometimes difficult to catch up with as we have to move at quite a fast pace!!
