Geography
Our History Subject Leader is Mrs R. Law and she is supported by Mrs K. Gillam, our Geography Governor.
The study of Geography at our school stimulates an interest in and a sense of wonder about places. It helps our young people make sense of a complex and constantly changing world. It is vital for our pupils to be able to explain where places are, how places and landscapes are formed, how people and their environment interact, and how a diverse range of economies, societies and environments are interconnected. By building on pupils' own experiences and investigating places at all scales, from the personal to the global, we see Geography as playing a vital part in our pupils becoming successful global citizens.
Here are some quotes from our children;
"Geography is fun because we learn about places and people from around the world" - Archie.
"Geography is one of my favourite subjects and I love playing Global, I even play it at home"- Harriet.
"I learnt about the continents through a song and it was fun"- Noah.
"I enjoyed Geography when we went map reading up Pendle Hill, I made it to the top and everyone cheered!" -Jack
